[As the PCD shakes considerably, muttered curses could be heard stumbled out as the camera passes over pale skin, blood, and the outside of Veles' walls. Lily's sitting on the ground, probably with the device propped on one of the knees as she's leaning back against the wall. She looks pale and feverish, with a few yellowing patches. Before talking there's a few wet chesty coughs, Lily muttering off to the side before back-swiping at air.]
So, guess I should say right away that I'm not infected.
[She just looks like she's going through the beginning stages, as she covers her mouth with a hand that's covered in some dried and some fresh blood, along with other substances. Something keeps catching her attention for less than a second every now and then, making it hard to continue through and finish sentences.]
Don't know who's... Who's available, but I mostly need someone who knows how to deal with poisons, toxins or whatever just as much as injuries. I- no, I'm not interested It's stronger than what I've had to deal with from last time.
[A swipe in the air, muttering again though it could be heard as 'bugger off.']
A little aid would be nice, though.

[Coughs a bit again. Mostly I've gotten lazy about bringing up the symptoms. Woo~ But this time it was also to buy a little thinking time before she poked him in the lower back.]
Come on, that's enough lugging me around like a sack of potatoes. You need to air your shoulder off, and I need to get all this blood out of my head from being like this.

*if he puts her down he's NOT picking her back up, but the distance is a quarter mile or a touch more, so after walking a few more steps he crouches and as lightly as he can sets her on her feet; he's sweating pretty hard and pushes his hair back and out of his face, plastering it away from his face; he wipes his brow with his jumpsuit collar and rolls up his sleeves*
Heaviest sack of potatoes ever.

[First put most of the weight on her left leg, keeping a grip on Blaine's shoulder. Of course she's expecting that her hair's an absolute mess right now, but instead of trying to clean it up Lily just shakes her head until it's mostly to the back again, or at least out of her face. She almost didn't hear that last comment.
Almost.
Which is why he's getting a light back handed smack in the chest.]
And you're the sweatiest jack-ass ever. Come on, if it's still too hot, you can undo half the jumpsuit and tie the sleeves around you or something. If you're lucky, we'll get a nice breeze.

*despite his tannish skin, he can still burn; he contemplates the distance before deciding 15 minutes more of walking won't char him and strips his arms out of the sleeves and sighs in relief; totally ignoring her light slap*
Still need an arm to lean on? Thought hat smell is really coming off in waves now. Stay downwind.

[Sighs and moves to get in a good position to use Blaine's shoulder so she could walk without going sideways. Blaine's at least got a chance and some time before burning, if he does. Plus, the air would do better than dehydrating before they get to a clinic.]
Not my fault it's so strong now. Didn't even realize it did that... Could be maturity, I guess? I haven't had the toxins going through my system without the dampened effects for... about a year and a half now? I was barely off the dampeners back in my home world before having shown up in Veles, and you know how that just loves taking stuff from us.

Well, if we stay in this place long enough, we may find out all that your toxins can do, whether we like it or not.

[The look on her face doesn't match the light tone, though. The girl that had healed everything below the skin layers had started getting effected within a couple of minutes. Who knew what she'd do staying indoors.]
The person that helped me before you showed up, she mentioned one of the places. A Uno, or Una- haruh or something? Maybe the PCD's have a GPS to get us there. We can take a look once within the walls and under some shade.
no subject
Someone in the clinic? I figure once we get there and rest, someone will know which way to point us. If not, you can just ping the person who started to heal you to ask.

[Lily's starting to wonder just how worried Blaine had gotten. All this pinching, smacking and tapping. Instead she'll make a thoughtful sound towards what he said.]
Asking would probably be easier. They seem to have a lot more people around... And you should get yourself under observation for a bit, just in case. You might end up with more than a sore shoulder and dehydration when we get there.

*he worries in his own way, but it isn't anything excessive, and he's rather touchy, so he's been holding it back quite a bit on the affection and general... touchery*
I'll be fine. A rest and some water and I'll head back. Zombies are fucking everywhere. It's almost as bad as a wall breach.

[She's not really sure, and with how fast it feels like the days have been going, she's not sure how much longer to expect the next purge.]
Yeah... I didn't think it could get that bad. I didn't think there were that many people in the city in the first place. Still Blaine, just use the time you're resting to be watched for symptoms. You don't want people thinking you've gotten infected.
no subject
*he has to use logic Lily, he doesn't see the problem getting better now that you're at full production power*
Well, they were keeping some in the labs and tunnels under the city. Obviously, it was a hell of a lot more than is wise. *pause* Yeah, I'll be aware.

[It's kinda like tracking one's period. Just no blood, and an idea of whether or not it'll come more often or not!]
You think maybe they've been storing a bunch for a while, like before Gate Walkers started showing up?
no subject
Probably. Experiments to find a cure, or some other use. How many they kept down there and for what is anyone's guess. But obviously enough to be stupid as fuck.
no subject
[Shakes head.]
Stupid as fuck doesn't begin to cover it. Always some bleedin' government doing idiot things and experimenting with things they can't begin to understand. They probably made the virus- played with something new, and bang-boom, it turns into the undead plague.

*looks up as the city is a stone's throw away and looming*
Can't stop people from fiddling with shit. Though there should be limits to curiosity and stupidity being mixed in the genepool.
no subject
[Well, good thing they're making steady progress. She's hoping that soon the numb and stiff feeling will work it's way out with some more walking as well.]
Guess it's mixed in with genius and ambition, causing problems when the pools 'mix.'
no subject
*he's enjoying the air against his skin, and it isn't so much further now*
Takes a specific mix to get it right. We've yet to perfect it.

[Shrugs]
Seems to be one of the impossible cocktails.
no subject
*snerk* Won't stop us from trying.
no subject
[Psh] Trying that is just an excuse with our kind.
no subject
Your kind? You mean mutants, or whatever they decided to call you?
no subject
Humanish people, I suppose is what I mean.
