MECHANICS

Everyone is around Level 9 and their current appearances provide some protection already. Leveling up will happen occasionally, but does not restore your status, HP or SP. Instead it increases the current HP and SP the same amount that the max stats are raised. There is a visual hub that is actually in the same location no matter where you're looking. You can see the HP of you and your party members, the progress of an enemy's HP bar and status effects.

You fight enemies using a basic (weak) physical attack, or SKILLS and TECHNIQUES. Skills, being a person's abilities, magic and such will cost SP relative to the strength of the skill. So it would either be 5, 10 or 15 SP per use. Techniques, being physical skills (double strike with a weapon, multiple kicks, sword techniques, etc) are similar but cost HP.

When a fight ends, HP and SP are not restored. Leading to the following:

RECOVERY ITEMS
First and foremost, there are recovery circles. There are two; one that has 3 uses, and another which has 1. This isn't per-visit but for the entire dreamscape event. Recovery circles restore HP, SP, and remove bad status effects in a short period of time and allow a slight boost to speed.

Food can also be used for recovery, if one takes care to see what they eat. While some food may cause ill effects (either from improper cooking or being spoiled) many can restore HP. Combinations done can also lead to small temporary buffs.

Water is simple enough; it can restore SP. When combined with some food items (making JUICE or TEA,) bad status effects can be removed.

Beds restore HP and SP after a temporary rest. Enemies respawn and speed is slowed for a small period of time.
