[As the PCD shakes considerably, muttered curses could be heard stumbled out as the camera passes over pale skin, blood, and the outside of Veles' walls. Lily's sitting on the ground, probably with the device propped on one of the knees as she's leaning back against the wall. She looks pale and feverish, with a few yellowing patches. Before talking there's a few wet chesty coughs, Lily muttering off to the side before back-swiping at air.]

So, guess I should say right away that I'm not infected.

[She just looks like she's going through the beginning stages, as she covers her mouth with a hand that's covered in some dried and some fresh blood, along with other substances. Something keeps catching her attention for less than a second every now and then, making it hard to continue through and finish sentences.]

Don't know who's... Who's available, but I mostly need someone who knows how to deal with poisons, toxins or whatever just as much as injuries. I- no, I'm not interested It's stronger than what I've had to deal with from last time.

[A swipe in the air, muttering again though it could be heard as 'bugger off.']

A little aid would be nice, though.

[Faces away from the PCD with a coughing fit.]

I swear, I'm hearing someone else talk from your feed.

*that worries him, but his voice doesn't sound any different*

Might be interference, but no one else is with me. I won't be able to make it back to Midgard with you, so we'll have to go to Adstring and see if they have a clinic.

[She doesn't sound completely convinced.]

Someone said there is, but I don't know if they're equipped to handle poison. You know Veles isn't, and they're not much better.

*there's no answer for a full minute and then he appears out from the open gates, looking each way trying to discern which direction she was in*

That the only reason, huh? I could've sworn that there were other reasons behind it as well...

[She's off quite a ways to the right, almost behind the curve. Luckily, if the rest can't be seen, the drips of blood, though with distance between each bit, points out the direction.]

*he said that with all seriousness as he peers each way again before seeing the figure in the distance, and then the drips of blood as he walks over*

You live with him. I don't think you had to buy a brothel for that.

[A muttered 'shut up' could be heard from her, before something of a thud. Though she'll be seen to be sitting there on the ground just as she had started the feed, when Blaine gets there.]

*he reaches her a little while later and stops in front of her, looking her over with a growling scowl* You talking to yourself?

[When he gets over, she just looks up and lets the PCD turn off and fall to the ground. She doesn't exactly look better from the original video, though the two patches that mark the source of bleeding (and nasty pus) seem to have been healed up to the point of the skin. Something where it's not bleeding nearly as much, though the pus is pooled up around them. Seems she had gotten some point in the time. (Raven having come helped with a bit of healing at some point.)]

Don't look at me like that... There's was just something annoying me, is all.

.. When'd you dye your hair? Didn't think that was available in the cities.

Why not? What the hell happened to you? *he's unhappy, and now that he's there in person he's unhappier still at seeing the damage in person; he kneels down*

My hair is the same color.

Because I got shot, and it wasn't my fault. I just can't wait until that bastard's in the middle of a bunch of zombies and the laser screwdriver runs out of juice.

[Well, you know how it is, it looks a lot worse than it is. One, because it was worse, and the other reason being that the blood and pus had been smeared a bit before from her holding the areas.]

Same color...? Right, of course.

[Rubs eyes with the back of her hand.]

Hard to tell when my eyes are playing tricks on me out here.

You got shot? *so not happy, and reflexively reaching out to move her head around to take a good look at her*

We need to get you inside. Can you make it to the other city?

[toxickiss]

Yeah, shot.

[And it seems almost out of reflex, as well, she jerked her head away. Though that only served to leave a slightly more dazed look on her face.]

I might with some support. My leg's been numb not long after the bastard shot me. I t-think being out of the city kicked the toxins back into full gear, too. Only had to deal with something like this once, and it [pauses a moment, swallowing something down,] wasn't this effective.

*he doesn't try to grab her and keep her still; at the talking of toxins he decides it's best not to touch her for now*

Who shot you? *he might have to go return the favor, though mentioning a laser reminded him of someone he'd recently met*

*more frowning from Blaine, the most you've probably ever seen him do* It'd be faster to carry you, but I don't want your toxins melting me into some puddle of blonde goo.

[Takes a moment before responding. It was easier diminishing symptoms when it wasn't being seen. Now she's trying to hold back the gross looking parts as well.]

The Master, or Saxon if he's still playing with that name. Bored psychopaths, go figure.

[Melt, seriously?] It's poison, Blaine. Not acid. I've caused festering infections, rot, and getting people to think there are maggots, but I haven't caused melting. Anyway, I'd rather take the slow way with distance between your skin and my leg.

*managing to avoid the emotion completely draining from his face -and leaving a cold and calculating expression in its stead- he shifts back and forth to look at her without touching her* If you were teasing a bored psycho, getting shot is getting off easy. I guess if you'd died you'd have come back without the pain though.

*so non-chalantly* I like my description better.

You need to rest? If not, we should get going now. I'd rather wrap your leg and carry you.

I didn't tease him. I was answering some questions and he got bored. He was better when I started antagonizing him, really.

[Now Lily's going to get all stubborn. Why is it that sick people are rarely cooperative?]

With what? You need as much of you skin covered as possible. I'd rather not have you joking about my weight while carrying me, anyway. It'd be bad enough if you tried it on solid ground, much less sand.

[Holds up hand, giving a bit of a pouty look.] Come on, just help me up and we'll get going that way. Don't make me say the p-word.

[Because Lily rarely says please.]

*sighs* Antagonizing is even worse. Man with a laser and you piss him off.

I'll skip the weight jokes if you skip the pony jokes.

*rolls down his sleeves to cover his arms- gdi it's hot- and then holds out hand to help her up; he might pull her too hard, he might try to scoop her up and lug her around anyway, even if it'll hurt her leg like a bitch* Fine, fine.

Well I did that after he shot me. Didn't happen again, so it was apparently a good choice. I seem to have this luck of either never getting shot, or it happening exactly twice...

[Nods as an agreement, her addled brain figuring that he was agreeing to just be support on a walk there, and stick to that. Which would be the reason why she takes his hand.]

*just, SIGH*

*leans down and takes her hand, pulling her up, and keeps pulling as he crouches to just lift her onto his shoulder like a sack of potatoes; here's to hoping she doesn't puke down his back*

[To which she ends up screaming out of surprise, before the pain moved to a level where that took over. By that point she was already trying to hold it back and swallow it in. Don't worry Blaine, it's not puke on your back! Just... phlegm and spit from coughing out a breath once over the shoulders. Now, she could curse him out with everything she's picked up over the years, or keep that in her head until he does something worse. But damn if her leg doesn't hurt right now.]

What the bloody hell, Blaine?! I could walk!

*resettles her on his shoulder once she stops hacking and squiggling; not happy about the spit, but no puke; patronizing sounds* Mmm. Sure.

*starting to walk slowly, getting his balance adjusted; he'll go at a moderate and steady pace if she keeps still; he figures he can go for a half-mile or so before he might have to let her walk*
